P3: BYLAW ENFORCEMENT

P3 Bylaw Enforcement in any urban centre is also critical to an ordered, safe, peaceful and reasonable existence in close proximity to others. Thus there are several City Departments whose mandates are to deal with By-law Enforcement in the city of Joburg.  The Departments include JMPD, Building Control, LandUse, Environmental-Health, and Displaced-Persons-Units all work together in various and overlapping ways to deal with Noise Pollution, Public Drinking, Homeless/Vagrancy, Illegal Spaza shops and Sidewalk Vendors, Illegal Dumping, along with a long list of various Problems-Properties and beyond.

The bylaws ensure that all residents in Auckland Park will have quality of life. The bylaws stipulate and implement the rules and regulations regarding all the above. Similarly to Basic Services, the key to residents making a difference in this area is to contact the correct City Departments and Staff and Log/Report Complaints via the correct channels and get Ref#s for all.
